Factor Bikes unveils a 10-rider UCI Continental team for the 2025 season, featuring the former MTB XCM World Champion
3 March, 2025: Factor Bikes, the premium performance bicycle brand, has announced Slovenian-based UCI Continental men’s team - Factor Racing. Supporting riders and teams has always been at the core of Factor’s DNA, and this marks a significant step forward as its first fully in-house operated team.
Factor is proud to welcome Brazilian legend Henrique Avancini to the team. After a successful off-road career, winning the 2023 UCI Mountain Bike XC Marathon World Championship was his crowning achievement. The victory allowed him to step away from racing and dedicate his energy and passion to his family and to continue the growth of Brazilian cycling. Henrique Avancini will return to competition in 2025, as a road racer for Factor Racing, chasing a childhood dream.
In addition to racing, Henrique will take on a mentorship role, guiding the young squad with his extensive experience in professional cycling. Paul Wright, 2025 New Zealand National Road Race Champion, will serve as the team’s ‘road captain’ leading them through a packed season of racing.

Based in Kranj, Slovenia, the team’s 68-year legacy triumphs in talent identification, including three-time Tour de France stage winner, Matej Mohoric. Factor Racing will focus on identifying and developing riders, as it aims to prepare athletes for the World Tour under the leadership of General Manager, Jost Zevnik.
Factor is joined by POC, Wahoo, CCN, VELOTOZE, NDURANZ, CERAMICSPEED and BERK as sponsors in the team’s inaugural season. All partners share the vision to build a team that inspires racers to be their best, supplying premium performance equipment and support.
“I’m excited and motivated with this new project. I had the desire to chase this childhood dream which Factor understands and embraces. The Factor Racing Team is such a cool project and it’s been great to work with the team and brand from the very start.
I have a great team of riders and staff around me and I’m looking forward to sharing my experience with younger guys as well as learning from them too. Being able to step onto the road with Factor Racing has really awakened the dream that I have had in me from a young age!” said Henrique Avancini.
