Revolutionary bike manufacturer launches full details and prices of its collection of luxury performance bikes
3rd February 2016: Factor Bikes, the luxury bike brand responsible for the iconic Vis Vires bikes, is pleased to announce details of its new bike collection. The new range was presented by Factor Bikes co-owner and former Tour de France Green Jersey Winner, Baden Cooke, to the world’s media and cycling personalities at the Tour Down Under. Guests included Jack Bobridge (Trek-Segafredo), Koen de Kort (Giant-Alpecin) and former pro racers Bradley McGee and Stuart O’Grady.
All Factor Bikes are a peerless combination of artisan craftsmanship, the very finest materials, innovative engineering and manufacturing processes all brought together with the highest possible finishing and attention to detail in Factor Bikes’ wholly-owned factory. Factor Bikes don’t compromise – anywhere.
The new bikes – the Factor ONE and the Factor O2 – will be available to buy from March 2016 from select dealers and direct from http://factorbikes.com.
Co-owner of Factor Bikes and former pro road racer Baden Cooke said: “We are extremely proud of the new generation of Factor Bikes and are excited about the 2016 range. The Factor One is setting the standard for aerodynamics, rigidity and style, while the Factor O2 offers an extremely lightweight and agile ride, ideal for the mountains while not coming up short when you need it in the sprints. It’s going to be a busy 12 months for all involved with Factor Bikes and I’m personally as driven and as passionate about Factor Bikes as I was when I was riding.”
All models are being raced by ONE Pro Cycling as they look to achieve their aim of ascending to the WorldTour.
Taking all that was learnt from the Vis Vires, the Factor One is fully UCI legal and has been built for maximum stiffness and aerodynamic performance to deliver sprinters a significant advantage at the sharp end of races.
Created to be the most aerodynamic bike on the market, it features Factor Bikes’ unique integrated fork, stem and bar together with the iconic split-downtube design which allows turbulent air from the front wheel to go through – rather than around – the downtube to deliver a meaningful aerodynamic advantage (100g of aerodynamic efficiency compared to a non-split downtube design in CFD modelling and wind tunnel testing – equating to about one second per kilometre).

The O2 is a beautiful chameleon. It’s Factor Bikes’ most versatile machine and combines minimalist beauty with exceptional performance, riding lightly at the current UCI minimum weight of just 6.8kg; it’s equally at home effortlessly consuming the mountains of France as it is rolling sublimely over Belgian pavé.
The O2’s UCI-legal lightweight construction doesn’t come at the sacrifice of stiffness or comfort. Every fibre has been obsessively selected and expertly combined with others to ensure Factor Bikes’ pursuit of ride perfection is achieved: the O2 responds both immediately and intuitively to your every input with a lively, interactive ride that also gently filters out fatiguing road buzz and vibrations to deliver total comfort and confidence. When you kick for the summit, the O2 soars; when you carve into the turn, the O2 inspires; and when you hit the cobbles, the O2 excels.
