Meet the Engineering Team

Rob Gitelis and our engineering team, Graham Shrive, Stuart Munro, and Mike McGinn, are among the most respected minds in modern bicycle design. Over their careers they have consistently pushed boundaries, and at Factor they are empowered to go even further. Purpose-Driven Development

"What does the rider need to win?" Every Factor bike begins with a purpose, a short but precise statement that becomes the north star for the entire development cycle. That purpose defines the bike’s philosophy, its priorities, and its performance objectives. It is non-negotiable. For the O2 VAM, the purpose was: “Nothing this light is this fast, and nothing this fast is this light.” Our engineers then spend thousands of hours transforming that purpose into performance reality.

The Factor Design Language

Every Factor frame carries our design language. Once the performance-driven shapes are defined, we apply a consistent logic to the forms: organic transitions, intentional lines, airfoil truncations, and the subtle interplay between frame surfaces and component interfaces.
