FACTOR launches Prisma Studio: the first 3D viewer for O2 frame customisation

Offering customers 2,688 different possible colour combinations and finishes across two different design options

11 April: FACTOR, best known for its design and manufacture of high-performance road bikes, has launched its latest innovation – the online 3D Prisma Studio, where customers can create customised paint finishes for their O2 Equipe and Classic disc or rim frames.

The Prisma Studio 3D gives customers the opportunity to customise the base frame, panels and logo, choosing from nine different colourways across gloss and matte finishes, with seven metallic equivalents. This adds up to an impressive 2,688 possible combinations available immediately; new colours will be added over the next few months.

FACTOR is the first manufacturer to offer this tool with a 3D function, delivering a 360-degree inspection as well as providing a zoom-in feature allowing for the finer detail to be reviewed. The Prisma Studio 3D also allows the user to share the fruits of their creative endeavours across their chosen social platforms.

Getting started

Accessible with one click from FACTOR’s homepage, Prisma Studio couldn’t be easier to use, with just six simple steps:

  • Select style, either Equipe or Classic
  • Select frame finish, either gloss, matte or metallic
  • Then select a base colour
  • Select a panel colour
  • Select logo design
  • And finally, select logo colour

Once satisfied with the design, the customer then submits the enquiry and is put in touch with a local dealer to finalise the size and specification of the frame. The frames will be painted locally for North American and European customers respectively, reducing delivery lead-times and enabling additional customisation options if desired.

Starting at US$200 on top of standard frameset costs, the customised frame can be delivered to local authorised FACTOR dealers in three weeks from order. Other models will be added to the Prima Studio, however, should customers desire a customised ONE, SLiCK or ViSTA frame currently, they can contact their local dealer for assistance.

We are excited to launch this great new tool for potential customers and visitors to our website. It’s such a fun way to play with colours and finishes. Our customers are discerning cyclists and this option enables them to put their own stamp on our beautiful frames and share their designs with their social communities. We’re sure it will stimulate much creativity and discussion among them and their friends. We are giving anyone who registers their interest through Prisma Studio the chance to win one of two free O2 frames this year. Rob Gitelis, owner of Factor

About Bugatti

Founded by Ettore Bugatti in 1909 in Molsheim (Alsace, France), Bugatti has epitomized automotive craftsmanship and innovation for over a century. Guided by Ettore's principle, "If comparable, it is no longer Bugatti," the brand is defined by an unparalleled level of attention to detail, high personalization and exclusive savoir-faire that is unique in the automotive industry. Each car is still hand-assembled in the Atelier in Molsheim.

Bugatti’s legacy is simply incomparable. Models like the Type 35, Type 57 SC Atlantic and Type 41 Royale defined the early years of the brand, Romano Artioli revived Bugatti with the unveiling of the trailblazing EB110 in the 1990s – paving the way to all modern Bugatti models since the Veyron. Introduced in the 2000s under the leadership of Professor Ferdinand Piëch, the Veyron created a brand-new automotive segment and established a new paradigm, as it became the world’s first production car with more than 1,000 PS and a top speed of over 250 mph. With the Chiron family and models like the ultimate roadster, the W16 Mistral, and the track-only Bolide, Bugatti’s W16-engined lineage has forever transformed the automotive industry.

Today, Bugatti is part of the Bugatti Rimac joint company, embarking on an all-new era with the latest Bugatti masterpiece: the Tourbillon. Inspired by Haute-Couture, the Tourbillon is timeless in its design and its engineering, meant to be admired by enthusiasts a century from now, in the same way that early Bugatti creations are today.

As well as its peerless cars and the incomparable experiences the brand offers, Bugatti also operates Bugatti Lifestyle, which extends the brand’s philosophy of excellence and innovation into a wide range of products, including fine furniture and real estate, champagne, clothing and timepieces, selected for their matching values with Bugatti’s DNA.
